What you should know about me:
[Author's Note] The first 20 minutes of this interview consisted of me asking questions to which I received nothing more than a cold stare. Once I realized that Selene Tanis was not about to speak about her homeland nor to the rumors of her connections to the Retribution of Scyrah, I moved on to more general queries about her past specifically. This generated at least some semblance of conversation that did not involve me fearing for my life. -Pixi
"For the past several years I have been in the company of the group known as the Strangelight Investigators. I was hired on as an independent contractor to lend my specialized skills to the group after being convinced to do so by Magnus and Alexandra Raines. Before this time, I spent a lot of time in the lands of Northern Cygnar and Southern Ord doing scouting and tracking to improve those skills in areas that were completely foreign to me.
My parents were both Fane Priests, and followed strictly to the teachings of the Vanished sect. These things are not commonly known to Human cultures. To keep it simple, the Vanished are part of the Iosan pantheon of gods that disappeared long ago. It was my parents belief that if we sought for answers as to why they left us, we could remedy the challenges that befall my people and restore our nation to power. I am not sure what I believe when it comes to the different teachings of my people, but I can say that I am influenced by and respect all three religious sects. It is my upbringing and my beliefs that make me immeasurably more open-minded than most of my race; and why I am tolerant of Magnus and Alexandra Raines and their religious beliefs."
[Author's Note] When asked to expound on the current status of the Iosan people, I was met with another blank stare. This is obviously not a pleasant topic for Selene Tanis (or any other Iosan I have ever met). When asked to give more details regarding why she has remained in Cygnar rather than returning to Ios after the attack on her scouting team, it became clear to me the entire line of questioning was over. There may be more secrets being kept by this one Elven woman than the entire Cygnaran Fourth Army Division. In truth, I found her to be about as forthcoming as a bowl of soup. -Pixi

Role in the Party:
"We normally travel as a group of five. Six when we bring along a trainee. Sometimes there are four of us - when Alexandra is away doing the will of her Faith. My role in the group is twofold. First, I am the tactical commander when we face physical confrontations in the field. This can range from wild animal attacks in the wilderness to common thieves on the streets of the city. I am also the group's tracker and scout in most situations. I navigate to where our next investigation takes us as we seem to do quite a bit more traveling than I had anticipated when being asked to join. The group is loyal to me and I to them, and that is all you need to know regarding that."

This interview was conducted by Pixi Shorthand, infamous bard and scholar. You can read more of my works on other pages throughout this website. I am the undisputed Queen of "Inside Information". Special thanks to Selena Tanis for taking the time to answer a few questions for our readers, as painful as the process seemed to be for her!
